Hull City have appointed Martin Hodge as the club’s new head of recruitment.
The 66-year-old former goalkeeper joined the club several weeks ago and will now officially lead the recruitment department, working closely with sporting director Jared Dublin.
Hodge brings experience from similar roles at Burnley and Swansea, and made over 600 appearances during his playing career, including a record 214 consecutive games for Sheffield Wednesday.
“I’m pleased to be joining the club,” said Hodge. “This is a big club with strong infrastructure and an ambitious chairman. I’ve known Jared for years and believe we can work well together.”
Hodge is already involved in the process of identifying City’s next head coach, alongside Dublin and Mustapha Yokes. Owner Acun Ilicali will make the final decision.
