Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has denied claims he is stepping down from his role as vice-president of Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Reports in Turkey on Sunday night suggested Ilicali was preparing to resign, sparking widespread speculation on social media. However, sources close to the City owner have confirmed there is no truth to the rumours.

Ilicali, who has been vice-president at Fenerbahce since last year, remains fully involved at both clubs. The Istanbul side are guaranteed a second-place finish in the Super Lig, with Galatasaray already confirmed as champions.

The City owner is continuing his search for a new head coach following the sacking of Ruben Selles earlier this month.
