Hull City midfielder Steven Alzate is attracting interest from La Liga, with Valencia and Getafe both reportedly keen on a summer move.
Alzate, 26, joined City as a free agent last year following his release from Brighton and became a key figure under Ruben Selles. Despite an injury-hit campaign, he made 28 league appearances and was one of the side’s standout performers.
City are expected to demand a seven-figure fee for the Colombian, who has just over a year left on his contract. The club does however hold a one-year optional extension.
Interest is also said to be coming from other clubs in England. While the club would prefer to keep Alzate, a summer rebuild is planned and he could be sold to raise funds.
City are overloaded in the middle of the park, with Alzate, Gustavo Puerta, Matt Crooks, Regan Slater, Eliot Matazo vying for just two slots.
This could further increase with the potential arrivals of Oscar Zambrano and Reda Laalaoui, plus the return of Xavier Simons, not to mention Kasey Palmer and Abdülkadir Ömür, who are more suited to playing as a number ten.
